It may sound glamorous to be part of a celebrity’s entourage, but let me assure you; it’s not, particularly if you’re in the company of a literary heavyweight such as E.B. Heron.

It was an intersting afternnon to say the least at the Schooner Wharf Bar.

We’ve had decent luck with the weather so far this week in Key West, which is to say, many parts of the island can still be accessed without the aid of a kayak. One notable exception is the Southernmost Point. So, why was E.B. so adamant yesterday about having us take him there for a photo op?

E.B. Heron hit the streets of Old Key West yesterday. First stop- Willie T’s, where he took to the stage to join Captain Josh on a few numbers.

Uh-oh. Seems like Mother Nature got wind of E.B. Heron’s plans to wreak havoc on Key West and is taking defensive measures. Not to worry; we’ll get him there as scheduled!

Well, we handed E.B. over to her chauffeurs, Tracy and Chris, the other day, for the drive from Louisiana to Key West. We’ll be meeting back up with him, hopefully all in one piece, when we get there on Saturday.

That bird is at it again. First he doesn’t like how I fix his margarita. Now he looks at my fish tank like it’s the window of a Korean Restaurant.

The literary lapwing himself, E.B. Heron, has touched down safely in Louisiana. Next stop- Key West.
